FAQs
What insurance plans do you accept?
At Gordon Dental, we accept most PPO dental plans. However, Dr. Gordon is an “out-of-network” provider with ALL insurance companies. Each person has a specific insurance plan with specific benefits. It is important for you to know your dental policy while understanding not all services may be considered as a covered benefit with various contracts. We encourage all of our patients to contact their insurance company to find out their “out-of-network” benefits prior to scheduling. As a courtesy to our patients, we will be happy to file your dental services to your insurance. Our friendly team members are happy to assist with any questions you may have regarding the financial side of your dental care.

Our office policy requires cavity detecting x-rays to be taken once every 12 months. We also take panoramic x-rays, which captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues. We like to take this x-rays once every 5-7 years.
Do you offer sedation?
Yes, we do offer a few different sedation options for our established patients, as well as the N20 or “laughing gas” for our patients that may be a little more anxious.
It's been a long time since I've visited the dentist. What do I need to do?
Give us a call! For patients that haven’t seen the dentist in 2+ years, we recommend coming in for a comprehensive exam with Dr. Gordon first. At this visit we will take all necessary x-rays and determine what type of cleaning would be most beneficial for your health. We will also determine if any other treatment (fillings, sealants, crowns, etc etc) are necessary. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and get you back on track.
What type of whitening options do you offer?
We offer a couple different options for whitening. Our most popular option is our our take home whitening trays. This includes coming in for a set of impressions, from there one of our assistants will make your whitening trays that can be picked up a few days later. This allows you to whiten at home at your own pace. All you have to do is purchase bleach refills! Another option that we offer is our in office whitening. This is about an hour and a half appointment that gets you to the whitest point possible in that elotted time. This includes the take home trays for you to maintain your color at home. This is a popular option for our patients that have a special event coming up and don’t have the time to whiten at home. Give us a call to discuss pricing options!
